Ninh Thuan is surrounded by mountains and sea. In the west, there are hills and mountains; in the north and south, there are two sierras leading to the sea.
In the middle of the province and the coastal area is an arid plain that should be called the Western of Vietnam. The mountainous area accounts for 63.2% of the total natural area of the province, the hilly area accounts for 14.4% and the plain is 22.4%.
There are many streams and rivers in Ninh Thuan, but the largest one is Cai River. Including all the tributaries (Me Lam, Sat River, Ong River, Cha River, Lu River and Quao River), the river system of Cai is 246 km long. Besides this system, there are also other rivers such as Trau River, Quan The River, Ba Rau River … with a total length of 184km.
